Buddy is ready for adoption

Buddy was once living life on the road. We think he was dumped because he kept watching the cars go by in search of his people. He wouldn't come to anyone for weeks. Life hasn’t always treated him kindly. He was starving out on the road and had all types of worms.  Buddy collapsed on our doorstep and we took him to the vet. He wasn't chipped but was very ill and VERY underweight. The first time we weighed him, he was about 50 lbs and most recently, after treatment, about  90 lbs. Buddy is fully healthy now. In spite of his experiences, he has learned to trust and allow himself to be a normal dog. Buddy loves everyone and his favorite person is a little 20 month old boy. He is a gentle giant most of the time but can be rambunctious when he gets excited. He does NOT like cats and he can climb a chain link fence fast! He knows basic commands and is house and crate trained. We hope this gorgeous lovebug, Buddy, finds a happy and carefree adopted life!
