Update!!! Buddy had his first injection for treatment of heartworms on 11/20/19. He was quite sick afterward but is doing rather well now. His swelling has gone down a bit and he's not near as lethargic as he was. His next set of two injections will be right before Christmas. We hope that this will have him cleared up from heartworms and then we will schedule his neutering. He must have a clean bill of health before that can happen however.
This picture was taken the day after the injection. He just laid around all the time. Little to no movement except his excessive thirst and need to urinate.
Both of these were taken today. This boy is looking so much better. He is a love bug too. Always wants to be right next to someone.
The docs told us last wednesday that he has put on 20 lbs!!! Wow... he was really emaciated. I am so very glad he's doing so much better. Onward and upward...
Thank you to everyone who has donated toward his care. It really does help. If you haven't yet and would like to, there are two ways to do so. One is to go through https://www.gofundme.com/f/buddy-the-foundling and the other is to call Lange Veterinary Hospital in Sherman,TX at (903)-893-5561 and make a donation over the phone for "Buddy Yavner".
When this boy is well, we'll be searching for a forever home for him. You can help us that way by spreading the word. Thank you so much for your generosity.
